PEOPLE OUR Bella Sosa is a Renewable Energy project manager for SNV Honduras, where she implements and manages clean production and climate change projects in collaboration with the private and public sector. Bella´s work includes strengthening small and medium eco-enterprises, identifying carbon market opportunities for small business initiatives, and capacity building of local governments and municipal associations in environmental governance. Her current projects include the Central America Regional Environment Programme (PROMACA) and a feasibility study for carbon market entry. An environmental engineer with a BS in Animal Science and a Master’s in Local Development, Bella has more than 15 years of experience in environmental management and integrated management of natural resources. “What motivates me most about my work is being able to work in what I’m passionate about professionally and be able to contribute to improving the lives of low-income people.” Mauricio Quintanilla is an Inclusive Business advisor in Bolivia, where he advises organisations, associations and cooperatives on developing Inclusive Businesses through economic development and competitive market access for agricultural products. His current projects include a UNDP-funded entrepreneurship programme, a project focused on improving the business climate, and the “Integrated Production, Market and Services Information Model” project that SNV is undertaking in partnership with CARE. An industrial engineer with a Master’s in Business and International Trade, an MBA and graduate studies in project management, marketing and sales, Mauricio also teaches at the university level on value chains and market access.
