IBIS 2014 explores the latest issues, trends and opportunities This year IBIS (the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium) kicked-off its annual calendar of meetings in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain. IBIS is fast becoming the world’s most influential forum for exploring current industry issues, trends and opportunities. As a main partner we were delighted to see one of our key customers - Stephan Salzer, Managing Director of the salzer group - take center stage and capture the conference with his insight into successfully passing family businesses from one generation to the next. So let’s take a look at the role IBIS plays in helping the industry build a stronger future. Sikkens stand Our continued commitment to IBIS is a perfect example of ‘Creating Together’ in action; encouraging networking and knowledge sharing within the industry to drive forward progress. “As host to a number of representatives from key accounts it gave us the opportunity to give customers ‘added value’, as well as making them feel ‘valued’,” confirms Gerhard Aalbers, Manager Services & Strategic Sales. Keith Malik, AkzoNobel’s Director of Global Accounts, adds, “IBIS is a key opportunity to share industry knowledge and experience which is fundamental to future proofing our business. We enjoyed an informative talk from Len Hunt, Group Director, Automotive at Al Futtaim, about the production processes and customer services of one of the largest bodyshops in the world. Adapting to new concepts also came under the spotlight when Peter de Roo, Business Development Director at EMM Holding bv, looked at how a traditional bodyshop took a new retail concept and made it work. In addition, the conference looked at regional market differences as Olivier Wood of Innovation Group talked about maximizing opportunities in the French accident repair market.” 14 Sikkens - Latest news Photos article: IBIS 2014 Pagina 13
