Our growers share our values of passion, humility and trustworthiness and help ensure that these are executed in the right way. In the summer season, Driscoll’s strawberries are produced by growers in the best growing regions, from France to The Netherlands and from Belgium to Denmark. Through efficient planning and coordination, Driscoll’s aims to keep deliveries short and direct from grower to retailer. This way we can guarantee a fresh product of high quality, so there will be less waste and more flexibility for our customers. We only share the ones we love The development of unique varieties through our extensive breeding programme is one of Driscoll’s top priorities, and is essential to our mission to continually delight consumers. Breeding means that crosses are made between plants to obtain offspring that perform better than existing varieties. This shows in the flavour, appearance and condition of Driscoll’s berries. Many crosses are made, but only few will make it. Because all varieties are tested among consumers and experts, it can take up to 7 years before another Driscoll’s berry variety comes on to the market. Also this season, we will be launching new promising varieties, specially developed and locally tested for the Northern European countries.
